Eternal – Trading Card Game

  • 0

Those of you who are familiar with Hearthstone, will very well manage with this newest game that is available on Steam. I ussualy (as you may’ve noticed in my previous posts), do not do video game reviews (hmmm… maybe I should?), but i decided to do this one.
This is actually pretty new, (and interresting I may add), game in the card battle genre, like Magic: The Gathering or Hearthstone (as previously mentioned) that may peak your curiosity… but take your full attention.

Eternal was releaset not long ago, November 2016, and started with over 400 cards in total and Dire Wolf Digital (the company behind this game) has plans to add more cards with expansions and smaller releases in between.
When players sign up to Eternal, they start with a free basic set of cards that they can build their deck from. New cards can be collected by playing; you can win cards, packs and various other things without any extra cost.
There are five kinds of cards in Eternal:

  • Power – the resources you need in order to play other cards;
  • Units – devided to ground units and flying units;
  • Spells;
  • Relics – that empower your units or champion in passive various ways;
  • Weapons – Which help your (normally idle) champion to engage in combat personally.

The dynamics can vary depending your strategy of course from, playing heavy defence and poking your opponent with a single unit that found a hole in your opponents defence, to a massive full scale attack that will demolish anything and everything on their way and defeat your opponent in a single blow.

You can build any deck you can imagine by freely mixing cards from an expanding collection, and plunge into lightning-fast battles. The only limits are your own creativity. With all the types of cards mentioned above, the champions collide in the struggle for the Eternal Throne. This new strategy card game has almost unlimited choices and it is unbelievable fun.

Eternal‘s tactical AI was hand-crafted by some of the best professional TCG players in the world. With dozens of enemy decks, wild “boss level” environments, and unique card mechanics, Eternal stands ready to challenge players at any time of the day (…or night).

Oh, and I’ve almost forgot a small detail. All gameplay — every card and every game mode — in Eternal can be earned or unlocked without ever paying a dime. It’s truly free to play. I hope you enjoy!
