The Arctic – The 100 Years Difference From Today
In the 1900’s, the Arctic glaciers were a mysterious and undiscovered wonders of the nature. Some 100 years later, the Arctic became a reminder of the climate changes.
Christian Åslund, a fotoreporter from Sweden, that works for “Greenpeace”, gathered some old photographs from the Svalbard, Norway and compared them to his own photographs from the same locations, made in 2002.
The photo-session promotes #MyClimateAction – a National Geographic campaign, that aims to rise a discusion about the climate changes. And on the other hand it also represents a protest against the norwegian oil companies, that continue to drill for oil in the already melted Arctic.
