The Mist (2007)

With Friday comes weekend, and with weekend – relaxation. And what better than some snacks and a good movie? Well, The Mist (2007), might just be it. This is a horror and heavy tension movie, based on the book of the very well known ‘king of suspension’, Stephen King. This movie in my opinion and believe me, everyone else that saw it, has one of the best/unexpected/unique (take your pick) endings, but definitely the most difficult one that one might ask for.

Everyone thinks of it as a harmless lightning storm. When Dave Drayton notices a strange mist on the lake, he thinks nothing of it. He, his son, Billy Drayton, and his neighbor Brent Norton travel to the supermarket, but the unthinkable happens. On their way to the market, they see the army, firefighters, and the police heading toward the mist. As they are shopping, they see three soldiers walk in, pick up a few things, then head toward the mist. All eighty of the store’s shoppers have no clue what is going on until an old man runs in the market with a bloody nose and declares “Something in the mist!”…

Starring: Thomas Jane, Nathan Gamble, Laurie Holden, Marcia Gay Harden, Andre Braughter, Jeffrey DeMunn
